Plot:
In May 2021, Techland released a 7 minutes trailer full of thrill and excitement and was an impressive showcase. Dying Light 2 which is published and developed by Techland.
Dying light 2 has a choice-driven story with a zombie apocalyptic theme. It is the first open-world zombie apocalyptic action game. The real-time combat system and sandbox make it the best action role-playing game.
According to game designer smektela, the main story wraps around 15 to 16 hours but it can take up to 100 hours to ace the whole content. It’s up to the player how much he takes to complete the game.
Gameplay Review:
Techland launched a 26 minutes long gameplay demo. It seems like a better version than the original one. The superpower of this game is exciting. The night theme makes it more attractive.
The main character and protagonist of Dying light 2 is Aiden Caldwell. This character is a survivor of this land who was infected by zombies and now wants to clear this land from this outbreak.
Features like climbing ledges, leaping from edges, running a wall, and sliding. For the fluid free running of the player, there are parkour animations available. Parkour system makes its fans excited to play in a zombie infected land. That’s why the parkour number has been increased to over 3000 by the game developers.
Features like a run a wall over the city, paragliding, and grappling hook.
Aiden can even use zombies to break his downfall. The game mostly provides melee-style weapons to combat with multiple super-powerful weapons such as any sharp object around, hammers, or machetes. Melee-style weapons have a limited life and will be damaged after combat.
Super creative powerful weapons such as crossbows, guns, and lances can be as useful. Players can also upgrade their weapons to combat more powerfully. Every decision the player makes will decide the fate of the city. There are three different factions with different approaches and motivations available to combat. These are renegades, pacekeepers, and survivors.
- Survivors as the name suggests will provide safe zones for survival.
- Pacemakers, the loyal soldiers, impose laws.
- Renegades are the ex-prisoners to whom you may help or hinder. Your every action will affect the fate of the city and its inhabitant.
A new faction is also introduced with weird medieval-style armor.
Besides factions, you will also have to face thieves called bandits who don’t want to play with you. Because Dying Light 2 is mostly night themed and dusk is not a good time for anyone. At night all types of zombies come out of their habitats to infect the land. Besides parkour actions, the demo and trailer showed many other styles. The player will have their own choice to choose their preferred style.
The overall content, theme, and story of Dying light 2 make it too impressive for diehard fans and will grab more fandom as time passes. It is scheduled to release worldwide on February 4, 2022. Dying light 2 Pre order is available for fandom.
